I’ve spent years working as an education leader in traditional, non-traditional, suburban, urban, and rural learning systems. My years as a special education teacher, assistant principal, instructional specialist, English language coordinator, principal and director; I truly understand why cultivating environments that foster innovation and adaptability for today’s rapidly evolving world is crucial for children and family serving organizations. I have a firsthand understanding of how complexities of reinforcing a commitment to being an inclusive, knowledgeable, and socially responsible organization.

This strand offers a workshop formatted to highlight the vital importance of providing principal supervisors, central office leaders, and/or board members with strategies that highlight how to support building/program leaders beyond organizational compliance expectations.
School leadership (principals, assistant principals, deans, etc.) prioritizes enhancing the quality of teaching and learning. Principals, et. al. are expected to be knowledgeable about evidence-based instructional practices, and how these practices lead to continuous school improvement for students from varying backgrounds and experiences. They provide coaching, mentoring, and professional consultation to their staff, and lead professional development opportunities. This strand offers a workshop formatted for participants to gain a deeper insight into leveraging their leadership strengths and lived experiences to positively influence and impact teacher development and student achievement outcomes.
These sessions are designed to help families how to best support their child’s academic growth and wellness as they journey through elementary and secondary school. They serve as a comprehensive resource designed to keep families informed. Now more than ever, parents need to be well-equipped to help their children succeed academically and thrive personally. This strand offers workshops formatted for participants to learn strategies for how to navigate school system structures, foster social-emotional development, and most importantly academic growth and services.
